The SHIFT Key

Is probably the most used and usefull button right after "A" for attack, it can queue up multiple actions that will be carried out in an orderly fashion.

Let us look at the most notable ways to use Shift in action:

  Sending workers back:

Did you ever forget about a worker after sending it off to build? Don't you worry if the answer was a yes! Next time simply send the worker to build then hold Shift and click on a mineral field and it will automaticaly be sent back to mine right after it finished the structure!

  Building queue:

By holding Shift you can order a worker to build one structure right after another. Usefull for supply depots, double gates etc.

  Attacking:

You can order a unit or unit group to attack on a specific path like sending a Viking to pick off scouting Overlords or attack in an orther to kill those Colossi quickly before attacking anything else.

Hold Shift press "A" several times on that SCV to make sure it won't run away through the structure its building!

  Scout Paths:

Send your worker to the enemy's base and have it scout by ordering it to move around in the base from point A to B to C!

  Rallies:

Did your rally point reset because it was on a unit that died? Well there is a way around it by holding Shift than clicking on miltiple units so if 1 dies the other becomes the new rally point!

Have your Zergling, Stalker or Marine Attack-Scout, hold Shift press "A" and click on the locations!

  Blink:

This called the Smart Blink. Its to make sure no Stalkers left behind on a cliff. Hold Shift then press "B" and they'll blink up - or down - one by one!

  Repair:

Your SCV is on auto-repair, but its going for the damaged turret instead of the burning Orbital? Have no fear for there is Shift key! Hold it down and press "R" then click on the primary concern than on to the less important ones!

  Rally-Stim-Attack:

Let that Bio force rip at the right spot, hold Shift, left click on the location then press "T" and then "A", location.

  Rally-Drop:

Initiate an attack at the front while you sneak a drop in the main. Hold Shift, right click on path locations to go around the base then press "E" to unload the pain!

  Overloard placement - highway:

Why not grab 3-4 or more Overlords and set up a vision perimeter? To do this select 3 Overlords then order them all to move to a location, then hold shift deselect one and order them to move to the next location and so on!Similarly, you can make a creep highway by the same method with a "G" pressing added to it (to generate creep).

  Burrow-Unburrow:

You are under attack and you have some Roaches to counter (with Tuneling Claw) with, but your opponent got some Supply Depots to block you. Hold that Shift key, order them to move , than burrow close to the entrance, order to move than on the other side unburrow, attack! Have that Baneling go to a main route and burrow quick, Shift-move-R and it will be ready for explosion!

The same way start containing with Swarm Hosts!

  Move-Transform:

     Warp Prism:

Let it get there, unload then transform readying itself for warp-in! Hold Shif then press "D"-"E ".

     Tanks:

Turtling forward with Tanks just got easier!Hold Shift press "E" to unsiege some tank (leave some sieged to defend) move-"D" to siege up, then do the same with the other half of the Tanks!
